Community Survey
We wanted to know how you used local parks and reserves for physical activity and the types of facilities or programs that would encourage you to be more active in the future.
Glen Eira City Council is developing an Active Recreation Action Plan, which will focus on increasing active recreation in parks and reserves by creating environments and programs that encourage residents to get active in their local communities.
This short survey is helping us to ensure the future development of active recreation facilities and programs meets the community’s needs.
For the purposes of this survey, active recreation is any physical activity in public parks or reserves that is not:
- organised sport (e.g. part of a club), or
- use of playgrounds.
Active recreation activities include: walking, running, cycling, outdoor fitness activities, non-organised sport such as kick-to-kick with friends or family, skate and other “self-initiated” recreation activities.
