How will public feedback be used / considered?
A review of feedback will be used to finalise landscape plans and be presented to Council for approval.
Do the trees form part of the war memorial?
Council has received advice from Heritage Victoria, Oakleigh-Carnegie RSL, the Glen Eira Historical Society and searched Council archives dating back 100 years.
The hedge does not form part of the Fallen Soldiers Memorial, nor were they planted from the original lone pine.
Will there be any separation between the playground and Koornang Road?
Yes. This will be addressed through new garden beds of massed low evergreen plants are proposed around three sides of the playground. These new plantings will enhance the setting for both the playground and adjoining picnic facilities.
