The concept plan for the Rosanna Street Reserve Playspace Upgrade was adopted by Council on 2 July 2019.
The upgrade to playground area will incorporate natural play elements including rock steppers, logs and scramble rocks. A circular path incorporating humps and banked corners will create an interesting path for budding bike and scooter riders. A new picnic shelter and area will include a solar powered barbecue and additional seating around the playground.
Additional to the playspace upgrade, solar path lighting has been installed.
We are excited to let the community know that due to some construction savings, we are now replacing the aged playground equipment too! Images of the new playground design are included on this page. Demolition of the old playground will commence on Wednesday 10 November 2021.
Construction on the Playspace has commenced and is expected to be completed by mid January 2022.
The Rosanna Street Playspace Upgrade is supported by the Victorian Government through the Parks Revitalisation Program and the Federal Government Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program.
