Glen Eira City Council (Council) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the principles of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic).

Purpose of this survey

We're running this survey to help collect feedback from our community on Councils role in residential aged care specifically as it relates to Warrawee Community.

Your responses will be used to help Council make a decision on whether to continue operating Warrawee Community or transferring the site to a new provider.

What we collect

We may collect personal information such as:

  • Your responses to the survey or via submission
  • Your name and email address where you voluntarily select that you want to be kept up to date with the project
  • Your age and gender (which are optional)
  • Any other information you voluntarily provide.

Why we collect it

We collect this information to:

  • Obtain your feedback through your submission
  • Improve Council services, decision making and our long term planning
  • Conduct de-identified data analysis for our reporting and to help Council make informed decisions.

How we use and share it

Your personal information may be:

  • Used internally by Council staff for the purposes outlined above.
  • Published in Council agendas or minutes (with redactions where appropriate), which are permanent public documents on the Council’s website. If you request confidentiality or Council decides the submission should remain private, it won’t be published. Your contact details will never be published.

In all other cases, your personal information will only be shared with your consent, unless we are legally required or authorised to disclose it.

Please note:

  • If you are concerned that the information you consider providing the Council may be defamatory, you should seek independent legal advice.
  • All Council records, including submissions, are subject to requests under the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

Required responses

Please note that you will not be able to submit the online survey if you do not complete the required responses.
