How we're using your feedback

What we heard will inform our Digital and Technology Plan — helping us to improve our existing online services and identify opportunities for future digital options that align with the needs of our broad community.

In 2023, we invited the Glen Eira community to help shape our first-ever Biodiversity Plan. Since then, we’ve continued to collaborate with Traditional Owners, local experts, and neighbouring councils to explore new ideas and opportunities for protecting and enhancing our local biodiversity.

We wanted to hear ideas from Community Voice members to put the Plan into action — including how the community can get involved and to understand what might make it difficult for people to take part. This feedback has helped refine the draft Plan, which was exhibited in May 2025 for broad community engagement as part of Our Place, Our Plan engagement.

We asked how we should invest in Council's properties and assets to ensure they’re well utilised, fit for purpose, and ready to support both current and future needs.

This feedback has helped refine our first-ever Strategic Property Planwhich outlines our long-term framework to guide how we manage and make the most of the $1.1 billion of land and buildings in our care. The Plan looks to balance community needs, financial sustainability while also looking at ways to reinvest in other important community infrastructure.

The Plan was exhibited in May 2025 for broad community engagement as part of Our Place, Our Plan.

We wanted to know more about our community’s typical travel experiences in and around Glen Eira. The feedback we received will help us understand how people travel and identify what improvements or changes might be needed — in line with our Integrated Transport Strategy (2018-2031). It also gives us a snapshot of local travel patterns and highlights opportunities to make transport in Glen Eira safer, more accessible, and sustainable.

The findings will also help inform our annual action plans as part of our Integrated Transport Strategy and help us understand if the strategy is still fit for purpose.
