About this engagement

The concept designs for the new Mackie Road Reserve sports pavilion are now available and we are seeking your feedback on them.

Background

The new pavilion is part of the Mackie Road Reserve Master Plan, endorsed by Council in June 2022.

The Master Plan includes the design of a a new all abilities play ground and the redevelopment of the existing sports pavilion.

The design for the Mackie Road Reserve Playspace has progressed and community engagement has already occurred for this action.

We are now looking at the a new concept design for the sports pavilion that will see the existing pavilion demolished and replaced with a new modern, fit-for-purpose facility.

The pavilion is one of the oldest sports pavilions in Glen Eira. It is home to the Mackie Cricket Club and Glen Eira Junior Football Club and has members of all ages and genders. The pavilion, while functional is not able to meet the growing needs of tenant sports clubs including catering for growing female participation, increasing junior participation and club social activities.

include maximised sustainability principles and inclusive spaces for people of all ages, genders and abilities.

  • Improvements
