Planning for emergencies

We're asking for your feedback to shape how we support our community with preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies.

Glen Eira can experience emergencies like extreme weather, flooding, heatwaves, or other major disruptions. We're working with emergency services and government departments to review our emergency management plan.

On this webpage you will find a ten minute survey.

We want to know:

  • how prepared you feel for emergencies
  • how you find information about emergencies
  • any challenges that may make it harder for you or your family to prepare and stay informed about emergencies.

How your feedback will be used

  • Your feedback will help strengthen emergency preparedness in Glen Eira by:

    • informing updates to Glen Eira's Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP)
    • guiding future community education activities and information
    • helping us understand how prepared our community is for emergencies
    • identifying challenges that may prevent people from preparing.

  • We're working on this project with:

    • local emergency services
    • government agencies
    • recovery organisations
    • community service organisations.


    Together, we are members Glen Eira's Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee.
