Glen Eira City Council Youth Survey 2025 – Terms and Conditions

1. COMPETITION PROMOTER

The Promoter is the City of Glen Eira (‘Council’)

2. COMPETITION INFORMATION

Information on prizes and how to enter this competition form part of these Terms & Conditions of Entry.

3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

By entering this competition, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions of entry.

4. WHO CAN ENTER?

4.1 Entry is open to Australian residents aged 10 to 25 years who live, work, study or socialise in the City of Glen Eira.

4.2 Employees of City of Glen Eira, Councillors and their immediate family members may complete the youth survey but are excluded from entering the prize draw. Immediate family members means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister or first cousin.

4.3 Entrants aged 14 years and under must have parental/guardian approval to enter and further, the parent/guardian of the entrant must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions.

4.4 Only one (1) entry is permitted per person.

5. HOW TO ENTER

To enter the competition, the entrant must complete the Glen Eira City Council Youth Survey 2025 (Survey) during the Promotional Period.

6. COMPETITION DATES

The promotion commences on 1 September and closes at 11:59PM (AEDST) on 28 September 2025 (“Promotional Period”).

7. THE PRIZE

7.1 Entrants who complete the survey within the promotional period can choose to enter into the draw to win 1 of 2 – gift cards (valued at $200 each) or a Glen Eira Leisure 3-month Membership. Please note there are different membership tiers depending on the winners age, further detailed below under clause 9.

7.2 Council will randomly allocate each of the three prizes to the winners that are selected in accordance with 8.1 below.

7.3 Council reserves the right to substitute any component of the Prize for a component of equal value at Council’s sole discretion.

8. CONTACTING PRIZE WINNER

8.1 The winners will be selected at random on Monday 29 September 2025 and contacted by phone and email on the same day. The winners will have two weeks to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond before the deadline, a replacement winner will be chosen at random.

8.2 Council reserves the right to determine the identity of the winner by requesting a form of identification of the winner or their parent/guardian’s which will be sighted only.

9. USE OF PRIZE

Gift cards are not transferable for cash, non-refundable and lost gift cards cannot be redeemed or replaced.

A single Glen Eira Leisure 3-month Membership will be issued in accordance with the winner’s age:

  • If the winner is aged 10 – 14 they are eligible for a Junior Aquatic or Swimming Lessons Contract.
  • If the winner is aged 14 – 17 they are eligible for a Rising Star Membership.
  • If the winner is aged 18 – 25 they are eligible for a Gold Membership.

The Glen Eira Leisure 3-month Membership is bound by the Terms and Conditions, Schedule of Memberships and Glen Eira Leisure Centre Rules. The membership will be issued in the winner’s name. The membership is not transferrable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash and cannot be used by another person.

10. LIABILITY

10.1 Council is not liable for late, lost, incomplete, invalid or incorrectly submitted entries, or illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption and communications failure or otherwise.

10.2 If for any reason any aspect of the Competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of Council, Council may, in its absolute discretion, cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries.

11. PRIVACY

The personal information an entrant provides will be used to conduct the Competition and to communicate with you. If you do not provide the information requested, you may be ineligible to enter the competition. Your information will not be shared with any third parties without your consent unless Council is authorised to do so by law.
